Kenner released the Darth Vader's Star Destroyer playset
in September 1980 as part of The Empire Strikes Back line. It was the most complex playset in that series, featuring a meditation chamber for Darth Vader with a "force light" feature, a pretend viewing screen, a swiveling cannon, and a secret escape hatch for figures.
